Florence M. Carroll

Mrs. Florence M. (Boucher) Carroll, age 95, of Lynn, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family Thursday evening. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Carroll, with whom she had shared more than 58 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, Florence was the daughter of the late Tancrede and Marie L. (Roberts) Boucher. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1936. She was a lifelong resident of Lynn. In earlier years, she was an avid bowler and member of the Kings Lynn Bowling League.

Florence was a faithful communicant of Saint Pius V Parish and was a member of the Saint Pius V Sodality, the Saint Vincent De Paul Society at Saint Pius V and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She will be lovingly remembered as devoted to church, family and those less fortunate than herself.

She leaves her children, Rev. John R. Carroll, Parochial Vicar of Saint Anthony’s Parish in Woburn, Janet F. McCarthy and her husband Roger of Lynn, James M. Carroll and his wife Kathy of Nahant and Mark J. Carroll and his wife Nancy of Easton. She was the loving Grandmother of Sean McCarthy and his wife Caitlin, Katie Martinson and her husband John and Michael, Richard and Brian Carroll. She was the loving Great Grandmother to Iain and Griffin McCarthy and Harry and Madelyn Martinson. She was the sister of the late Gerard, Edgar, Lauretta C., Jeanette R. and Eugenie L. Boucher, Blanche McElligott, Anita Leger, Fabiola G. Legere and Estelle B. Smith.

Her Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Monday at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Jean’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7PM.
