

Florence L. (Libby( Griffin, a long-time resident of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 in the NSMC – Salem Hospital in Salem, she was 92. Born in Norridgewock, ME, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Clara (Magner) Libby. Florence was raised and educated in Maine and was a graduate of Norridgewock High School. A resident of Lynn since 1954, Florence married her husband, Ernest J. “Buddy” Griffin, in 1955 and shared over 54 years in love and marriage together until Buddy’s passing in June of 2009. Florence was a committed homemaker and dedicated herself to raising and caring for her family. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, Connery Jr. Post #6 and was an absolute fan of playing BINGO. Florence is survived by her children; Joseph E. Griffin and his wife, Janet, of Lynn, Richard L. Griffin and his wife, Paula, of Salem, Madeline G. Gendron and her husband, Terrence, of Lynn, and Cheryl A. Marion and her husband, Frederick, of Meredith, NH, her grandchildren; Tara Gendron, Dawn Perry and her husband, Frank, Kenny Gendron, Matthew Griffin, Michelle Griffin, Paul Marion, and George Marion, her great-grandchildren; Kyle, Sabrina and Kelsey McNeil, Julianna and Frank Perry, Xavier Abreu, and Matthew and Anthony Marion, her siblings; Clarence Libby and his wife, Anita of Norridgewock, ME, and the late Russell Libby, Herbert Libby, Lloyd Libby, Jr., Quentin Libby, Lawrence Libby and Beverly Pickard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 10 AM followed by a committal service in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours will held in the funeral home, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM.
