Mrs. Florence L. (Byron) Hanson, age 93, of Danvers, died peacefully in her home on Thursday evening after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Carl Hanson, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frederick E. and Florence M. (Prince) Byron. She was raised in Lynn and was a resident of Danvers for the past 30 years.
Prior to her retirement in 1982, Florence worked as a Production Expeditor for the G.E., a position she held for 42 years. She was a faithful longtime communicant of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Ipswich. She enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her stepson, James Hanson and his wife Janet of Middleton. She is also survived by several cousins.
Florence’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Monday at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
