Geraldine Rose Gatchell

Geraldine R. “Gerry” Gatchell, 74 of Lynn, passed away on August 1, 2017 in the Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. Gerry was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Leona Ferrier. She served as a lunch aide for the Lynn School Department for 30 years. Gerry had been a resident of Lynn all her life.

Gerry leaves her husband, James H. Gatchell, her children: Raymond Blanchette and his wife, Eileen, Diana Headle and her husband, Timothy, and James R. Gatchell and his fiancé, Kristina Lundrigan, all of Lynn. Gerry also leaves her grandchildren: Meaghan Blanchette, Candice Sullivan, Jeffrey and John Blanchette, Katie Ashley, Michael Gatchell, Rafael, Marcus, and Zachery Bowzer, James R. Gatchell, William Hight, Nolan Headle, and Joey Collazo, and her great-grandchildren: Shannon, Kaylee, and Olivia Ashley, and Alex Sullivan. Her sister, Wanda Lisk of Marblehead and many nieces and nephews survive her as well. She was preceded in death by her sons, Eugene R. and John O. Blanchette, her granddaughter, Tayla Headle, and her siblings, Elvira Shaw, Oakley A., Richard, and John A. Ferrier.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 9 am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 4th from 4 to 8 pm.
