Gloria M. O'Shea

Gloria M. O’Shea (Locke) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 25, 2017. Gloria was the daughter of the late Alice (Morel) and Henry Locke. Born and raised in Revere, Gloria lived in Nahant for the past 49 years. She was a past President of the Nahant Women’s Club, was active in the St. Thomas Aquinas Sodality and was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She enjoyed winters in Florida and traditional Sunday dinners with her family.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 69 years, Thomas M. O’Shea, her daughters; Patricia and her husband, Frank, Nancy and her husband, Brian, Judith and Ron Murphy and her son, Thomas and his long time companion Martha Valleriani. She leaves six grandchildren: Kevin, David, Mark, Elizabeth, Lauren and Brian along with 6 great grandchildren. Gloria regularly supported the Franciscan Missions, St. Jude Research Hospital and Boys Town of Nebraska.

A Funeral Mass will be said in her honor at on Friday, March 3, 2017 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 248 Nahant Rd. Nahant at 10AM. Family and friends are encouraged to visit prior to the funeral in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. LYNN from 8:30 to 9:30AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s memory may be given to one of her favorite charities listed above or Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St. Danvers, MA 01923 which helped her greatly in her final days.
