

Henry “Hank” Marrin, 89, life-long resident of Lynn, MA, passed away Tuesday, April 3rd, at Royal Meadowview Nursing Facility, surrounded by his loving daughters. Hank was born May 10, 1928, to the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Chisolm) Marrin, also lifelong Lynn residents. Hank was a graduate of Lynn English High School and a Korean War Veteran. He was married to the love of his life, the late Frances (LaRose) Marrin. A longtime employee of the Daily Evening Item, an avid golfer and member at Gannon Golf Course, Hank aka “Hammering Hank” had many friends and was appreciated for his competitiveness and sharp wit. He loved all sports, from billiards, bowling to softball. He shared his love of these with many, instructing and coaching his daughters, grandchildren and friends for many years. He absolutely loved all dogs, being the faithful owner and trainer of many throughout his entire lifetime.
Hank was the brother of Phyllis Hazel of Lynnfield, Kenneth Marrin of Lynn, and the late Donald Marrin. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Debra Corcoran and her husband Kevin of Boxford, Donna Gautreau and partner Reggie Barron of West Newbury, Diane McCormick of Lynnfield. He was the cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren that he adored, Kerri (Corcoran), husband Jason Katsos, and Christopher Corcoran, Justin, Zachary, and Melaney Gautreau, and Meghan, Molly, Myles, MiKayla, and Madison McCormick. He was the proud great-grandfather, nicknamed “Big Bebe”, by Delilah, Violet and Cadence. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Marrin’s visitation on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Pius V Church, 215 Maple Street in Lynn. Guests are asked to meet the family at church. Military Honors by the U.S. Army will take place outside of church following the Funeral Mass. Private burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
