

Janet H. (Hosker) Monroe, of West Boxford, died on January 2, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 67. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Monroe, and the daughter of the late Rayford P. Hosker, Sr., and the late Helen B. (Porter) Hosker of Lynn. She attended St. Pius V School and St. Mary’s Girls High School in Lynn, and graduated from Salem State College.
After working in Boston for several years, she became for many years the Office Administrator at Beverly Surgical Associates.
She was the sister of Rayford P. Hosker, Jr. of Oak Ridge, TN and his wife Marilyn, and Thomas J. Hosker of Reston, VA and his wife Claire. She was the aunt of Richard P. Hosker, Elizabeth (Hosker) Kitts and Meagan A. Hosker, and the great-aunt of Matthew Colin Kitts.
The funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Saturday, January 11, at 8:00 AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church, Lynn, at 9:00 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours on Friday, January 10, from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory may be sent to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, B-102, Danvers, MA 01923; the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P. O.
