

Ms. Jayne E. (Kellett) Roy, age 75, a native of Lynn, and 8 year resident of Plantation, FL, died on Wednesday, May 2nd at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Florida. She leaves her companion and dear friend of 25 years, Lloyd O’Brien, a retired 40 year GE Employee, also a native of Lynn.
Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late John I. and Margaret A. (Rich) Kellett. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School and Salem State University. She continued to serve her Lynn English Class of 1954 as the Chairperson for each Class Reunion event and activity throughout the years as well as coordinating alumni social events and fund raisers for Salem State.
Jayne was a teacher in the Lynn Public Schools and later taught at the West Newbury Elementary School. Later, she managed the Gift Shop at Anna Jacques Hospital, the Fire House Fund in Newburyport, as well as the Community Resource Project.
She leaves her children, Lauren Campbell of Denville, NJ, Paul Roy of Murrells Inlet, SC and Neil Roy of Plantation, FL. She was the sister in law of Joanne Kellet of Lynnfield. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Brittany Campbell, James Campbell and Erica Roy. She was the sister of the late J. Richard Kellett.
Jayne’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Tuesday 3-7PM. Gifts in Jayne’s memory may be sent to the Charitable Fund for Diabetes in Memory of Jayne E.
