Jeannette M. Neary

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Sarah (Melanson) Bourque. She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Saint Jean’s High School. She was a resident of Lynn for most of her life before moving to Groveland 27 years ago.

Prior to her retirement, Jeannette was employed as a Clerical Worker for the General Electric. She was a longtime communicant of the Sacred Heart Church, where she taught Religious Education and was a member of the Sodality. She was also a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.

She was an artist and craftswoman who especially enjoyed needlepoint. She was a former volunteer for the Groveland and Merrimac Councils on Aging.

She leaves her children, James Neary and his wife Lisa of Dallas, TX, Jacqueline Waters and her husband Douglas of Amesbury and Jeanne Bowden and her husband Richard of Groveland. She was the sister of Edmond Bourque of Honolulu, HI, Robert Bourque and his wife Roberta of Nunan, GA, Roland Bourque of Salem, Alfred Bourque of New York and John Bourque of Manila, Philippines. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Fr. Leo Bourque, Marie Moran, Loretta Napierski and Rene Bourque.

Jeannette’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation prior to Mass beginning at 8:30AM.
