John "Jack" Leslie Jr.

Peabody – John “Jack” Leslie Jr., 82, died on March 19, 2022 at the Jeffrey and Susan Brudnick Center for Living from complications of dementia. Jack was a lifelong resident of Lynn. He was the son of the late John “Jack” Sr. and Catherine (Hourihan) Leslie.

Jack was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School class of 1957. Jack was a Bricklayer by trade and a member of the Local 3 Union for most of his career. He was very proud to be nominated “Apprentice Bricklayer of the Year”.

He was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and a member of the Salem Moose Lodge. Jack was an avid pool player and enjoyed his time up the “Square” and spending time with lifelong friends. Jack enjoyed music, sports, playing his numbers, going to the track, and walking the beach.

Jack was the proud father of his only child LeAnne Kreamer, his son-in-law Andy Kreamer; his granddaughter, Lauren Kinloch and her husband Andrew, and grandson Andrew Kreamer. In addition, he leaves his sister Noreen Donovan of Danvers; his brother Charles Leslie and wife Patty of Salem; his brother-in-law James Rich of Florida; his former wife Betty-Jo (Webster) Morrison; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Rich, his brothers Robert Leslie and Richard Leslie, his brother-in-law John Donovan and sister-in-law Nancy Leslie.

A visitation for John will be held on Friday March 25th from 10:00am – 12:00pm, followed by a Prayer Service at 12pm at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street in Lynn. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. John will be brought to his final resting place in St. Mary’s Cemetery immediately following.

John’s family would like to thank his personal care team at the Brudnick Center for the wonderful care that he received over the past six years.
