John Robert Tegan

Born in Chelsea in 1947, John was the son of the late George and Lexis (Long) Tegan. He was the devoted father of Sandra and her husband, Dan Olsen and Joseph Tegan and his wife, Christina; the cherished grandfather of Aaron, Marissa, Jessica Olsen and JoJo and Rocco Tegan: and the dear brother of the late Peter Kerger, late Mary Tegan, Katherine Ann Tegan and Jean Tegan.

John grew up in Somerville, entered the armed services at the age of 18 where he served in the U.S. Army as a Sharp-Shooter. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed golfing, BBQ’s out in the backyard, cooking on his grill, being with his grandchildren and vacationing in NH with family at his cottage.

A Prayer Service will be held at Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove Street, Lynnfield, in the Prayer Chapel on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, at 12:00 pm.
