OBITUARY

Joseph A Blais

10 September, 1960 – 30 April, 2020
IN THE CARE OF

Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home

Joey is the 59 year old son of Edward and Patricia (Pryor) Blais. He leaves two sisters, Nancy David and her husband Mark, and Toni Ordway and her husband Ward. He also leaves behind 8 nieces and nephews; Kimberly, Tracy, Mark, Tim, Kristen, Jennifer, Ryan, and Jordan; and three great-nieces; Hailey, Emma and Madelyn. Joey is also survived by his 12 aunts and uncles, his 18 cousins, and his 17 second cousins. In addition to his family, Joey also leaves the many amazing people who cared for him throughout his lifetime.

Joe could not speak, was hard of hearing, and his eyesight was failing. Despite these, he loved listening to loud music, holding a small transistor radio while wearing headphones; attending musical shows and concerts; he loved riding in a car going to his day program or out to eat and a movie with people who took care of him. Coffee was Joey’s favorite thing, he loved to go camping with Mom and Dad, and to many family functions. But most of all he loved his home. Joey was his Mom and Dad’s shining star and a gift from heaven and will be missed and celebrated always.

Funeral services for Joey will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of Hathorne, c/o Hogan Regional Center, 450 Maple Street, Danvers, MA 01937.
