Joyce M. Cooper Alley

Mrs. Joyce M. (Cooper) Alley, age 72, of Lynn, passed away Monday afternoon in the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul D. Alley.

Born in Lynn, Joyce was the daughter of the late PFC Guy Cooper and the late Grace and Arthur Moholland. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and Burdett College and resided in Lynn her entire life.

Prior to her retirement in 1994, Joyce proudly spent thirty five years as a Quality Assurance Program Manager in the Technical Publications Department of the GE Aircraft Engines Division in Lynn. She was a communicant of both the Holy Family Church and St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody for many years. She was a great care-giver to her husband, children, and grandchildren. An avid Patriots fan, Joyce also enjoyed family dinners, holidays and celebrations.

She leaves her daughters, Cindy M. D’Amico and her husband Thomas, Debora J. Davis and her husband Jeffrey, and her son, Paul D. Alley, Jr. and his wife Deborah. She was the loving Grandmother of Gina, Sarah and Taylor. She was the sister of Shirley Ciafardoni, Norma Beaupre and her husband Bill, Edward Cooper, Donna Estes and her husband Chick, and David Moholland and his wife Sarah. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

Joyce’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Holy Family Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Kaplan Family Hospice House 78 Liberty St. Danvers, MA 01923.
