

Karen McGaughey, born October 21,1948, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026. Karen lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and selflessness. Her infectious laughter and genuine personality touched the lives of many. Her warmth and loving spirit were the cornerstones of her life, radiating to everyone she met. She had an unyielding capacity for love and care, and she was a constant source of encouragement and joy to those around her.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a champion for the success of others. She found great joy in supporting, celebrating, and loving all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will continue to inspire her family and friends through the bonds of unwavering love they shared.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold; her son, Eric and his partner Lisa Kapellas; and her daughter, Kelly and her fiancé Wyman Lee. She is also survived by her brothers, Craig Meredith and his wife Linda, and Russell Meredith and his wife Judy. Karen was the cherished daughter of the late Lois (Macleod) and Russell Meredith.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Wilson, who remained forever in her heart.
A visitation for Karen will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a service following on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., both held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home in Lynn. Inurnment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery,
