

Lawrence "Larry" Joseph Cantin, age 89, of Danvers and formerly of Lynn, died on Monday, February 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Earline Louise (Grant) Cantin with whom he shared over 40 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, and a longtime Lynn resident, he was the son of the late Emile and Nettie (Cordes) Cantin.
Lawrence was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, he proudly served during the Korean Conflict. For many years he worked for the City of Lynn and for Pine Grove Cemetery until his retirement on January 15, 2000. Lawrence loved going on vacations to Florida, watching his soap operas and the Price is Right, he was a fan of the WWE, all Boston sports teams but, he had a special place in his heart for the Red Sox, he enjoyed playing the lottery, spending time with family and friends, and supporting his grandchildren at all of their sporting events.
He was the cherished father of Cynthia Paula (Cantin) McFarland and her husband Kevin of Danvers, the dear brother of Frances Pearson and Annette Slocumb, the loving grandfather of Ryan Clark, Corey Clark and his significant other Tamara Ortiz, and Randy Clark, Justin McFarland and his wife Kellie, Andrew McFarland and Luke McFarland, the adored great grandfather of Ayden Clark, the father-in-law of Randall Clark, and leaves several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Lawrence is predeceased by his daughter Cathy Louise Clark, siblings Louis Cantin, Emil J. Cantin, Wilfred “Buddy” Cantin, and Barbara Nye.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and Friends are invited to gather inside the Boston Street Gate at 10:45 AM.
