M. Joan Stone

Mrs. M. Joan Stone, age 78, of Peabody, died Saturday night in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard M. Stone, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in Boston, Joan was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Marie L. (Bois) Donlon. She lived in Lynn for most of her life before moving to Peabody 14 years ago.

Joan enjoyed the Bowling Leagues of Peabody and playing Bingo weekly at St. Mary’s. She greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her daughter, Denise Lemenager and her husband Danny of Peabody. She was the sister of Leo Donlon and his wife Patricia of Swampscott and is also survived by her granddaughter, Randi Lemenager of Peabody, 2 nieces and several loving cousins.

Joan’s Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Thursday at 9:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
