Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Frederick N. and Lillian (Brigham) Kelly. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1942.
For 27 years she was an executive secretary at General Electric Co.
Madeline was an avid Bingo player.
She leaves a son Carl Johnson of Tennessee, a daughter Carol Ann Melton of Alabama, a sister Gladys P. Alfonsi of Lynn, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Sonja Johnson and sister of the late Marion Ridolfi, Dorothy Diamond, Muriel Smith and Irene McCafferty.
