

Marilyn Mynahan Fiske, age 64, of Abington, formerly of Lynn, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Boston Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late William “Stanny” Mynahan and Muriel Mynahan of Lynn.
Marilyn was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Lynn, Class of 1964. She went on to study at Emmanuel College and later completed her Master’s Degree, in Reading, from Northeastern University. At the time of her death, she was a teacher in the Stoughton School System, where she had worked for over 30 years as a Remedial Reading Specialist.
Her greatest joy came from her two granddaughters, Ema & Bella Fiske.
Marilyn will always be remembered for her generous heart and love for her family and work. She will be sadly missed and happily remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and granddaughters, Marilyn is survived by her son, Daren Fiske and Sarah and her daughter, Jamie Fiske. She is also survived by her three sisters: Kathy Davies and David of Nova Scotia, Canada, Maureen Stanton of Rochester, NY and Chris Grasso and Dom of Hanson, MA, along with 10 nieces and nephews.
Marilyn's Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Wednesday at 11AM. Mar's Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives, friends and colleagues are respectfully invited. Visiting Hours in the Funeral Home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9PM. In lieu of flowers, her family and friends may make donations to the Mrs. Fiske Reading Fund c/o Principal Lynne Jardin, Gibbons School 235 Morton St. Stoughton, MA 02072.
