It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marilyn Shirley (Brown) Muller, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. Marilyn, 84 years old, formerly of Lynn, MA and most recently of Middleton, MA passed away at her home on March 26, 2022.
Marilyn was born in Lynn, MA, on December 4, 1937, as one of eleven children of the late Clayton and Mildred (Garland) Brown. She graduated from Lynn English High School in 1955, and began her career at the New England Telephone Company, and later worked as a sale representative at AT&T.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, William (Bill) Muller; her daughter Patricia (Muller) DiTullio and son-in-law George DiTullio of Salisbury; and grandchildren Sarah Muller, Harry DiTullio, Gina Muller, and Rose Muller. She is also survived by her brothers Thomas Brown of Lynn and James Brown of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She and Bill shared a love of travel, taking many trips over the years to Aruba, numerous National Parks, and frequently to Walt Disney World with their children and grandchildren. Marilyn was an exceptional wife and mother who cared deeply for her family and friends and will be remembered by many as a person they could turn to in a time of need. She considered herself lucky to share the ups and downs of life with her much beloved husband Bill. The partnership they modeled every day of their life together was exceptional, especially in her final years.
Visitation hours will be held on Thursday March 31st from 3pm-7pm, at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home at 157 Maple St, Lynn, MA. A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at 10am on Friday April 1st, at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home with interment at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody, MA immediately after.
