

Mary F. O’Brien, age 88, of Lynn, died Friday, October 1, 2010 at a local nursing home. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Ellen (McCarthy) O’Brien, and lived in Lynn all her life.
Mrs. O’Brien was a graduate of Lynn English High School. She later went to work in the Assembly department at the West Lynn General Electric and retired after 40 years of service.
Mary was an avid bowler and a member of the GE League. She was a New England Sports fan and loved to travel. Mary enjoyed her trips to Ireland, and to Europe along the Rhine River.
Surviving her is her brother, Robert O’Brien of Lynn; her sister, Jean Moran of Lakeland, Florida; nephews Richard O’Brien, Kevin Moran, Thomas and John Sadoski, nieces Mary O’Brien, Sharon Moran, Joanne Fuglestad, Janice Johnson and Kathleen Land, and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Edward J. O’Brien and Rita E. Sadoski, and aunt of the late James O’Brien who died on September 2, 2010.
The Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Tuesday at 8AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 PM.
