Mary J. Cassese Saunders

She was the wife for 50 years of the late Leroy W. Saunders.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Lucy (Caporale) Cassese.

Mary enjoyed working with her son, Keith, at Welch Florist in Lynn.

She and Leroy enjoyed playing Bingo. They loved to be together and were never apart. They were very active and enjoyed being with and taking care of their family.

Mary loved keeping house and loved her pets.

She leaves her children Diane M. Lewis of Danvers, Keith M. Saunders and his husband David P. Daley of Peabody, and Lisa Ciesinski and her husband Bill of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony, Michael, Nicholas, and Angelo Cassese, Margaret Santisi, Grace Barbuzzi, and Frances Atkinson.

Her funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) Danvers on Wednesday at 8 AM, followed by her funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Danvers at 9 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 PM.
