Mary T. O'Reilly Shachok

Born, raised and educated in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Agnes (McCue) O’Reilly. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Dorchester.

Mary was employed as an administrative assistant at the Department of Social Security in Boston, and was a paraprofessional for the City of Lynn for many years. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Lynnfield.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Florida.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Brian Bombard of Haverhill, Carole and Stephen Bombard of Byfield, and Mary E. Shachok of Estero, FL, her grandchildren Shannon Young, Angie, Denny and Jaqueline Bombard, and her two great-grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late William and Leo O’Reilly.

The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield at 10:00 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM.
