Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina (DeChristofaro) D’Amore, and graduated from Medford High School Class of 1970. She lived in Lynn since 1991.
For many years, Mary worked in the healthcare industry. She loved cooking, reading, and long walks on the beach.
She leaves three sons James Valente, Jr. of Medford, Vincent Valente of Lynn and Bryne Robinson of Lynn, two grandchildren Dean Vito Robinson and Alyssa Shea, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Josephine “Chickie” Costa, John D’Amore, and Geraldine Kelly.
Visiting hours will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mass. General/North Shore Cancer Center, 102 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
