Natalie P. Goodwin

Born in Gloucester, Natalie was the daughter of the late Carl and Gladys (Smith) Brown. She was a graduate of Swampscott High School. She resided in Lynn for most of her life before moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody a few years ago.

In earlier years, Natalie was a Dance Instructor at the Arthur Murray Studios. Her love of dance would carry on throughout her life. She later worked as a Medical Secretary in the office of Dr. Richard Yukins. “Miss Natalie” was well known as the music teacher at the Little Theater Kindergarten.

She was a former Sunday School Superintendent at the First Church of Christ in Lynn, Congregational. An active member of South Congregational Church in Peabody, she was involved in various groups and ministries including the Prayer Ministry. Natalie was a well known and vibrant member of the Brooksby Village community. She was involved with many committees and greatly enjoyed sharing her love of dancing and music. Just recently, she was featured as a member of Brooksby Village’s “Dancing with the Stars.”

She leaves her children, Jim Steele and his wife Kristen of Pacifica, CA, Sandy MacMillan of Peabody and her late husband David and Bob Steele and his wife Cindy of Winter Haven, FL. She was the sister of Lorna Libby of Jacksonville, FL. She was the loving Grammy to Jared, David, Doug, Jimmy, Josh, Timmy, Tammy, Cindi and Donny. She adored her precious great grandchildren, including Alex and Jude. Also survived by her long time dear friend Jim Shuttleworth of Peabody and her niece and nephew, Lee Libby and Lynne Dewitt as well as many members of the Goodwin Family. She was the aunt of the late Larry Libby.

Natalie’s Funeral Service will be held in the South Congregational Church, 60 Prospect St. PEABODY on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting Hours in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday from 3-7PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the South Congregational Church, 60 Prospect St. Peabody, MA 01960.
