Randall Leslie Johnson III

Randall L. Johnson, III, age 81 of Topsfield, formerly of Lynn, passed away on Friday, August 6th, 2021.

Born in Lynn on April 29, 1940, to the late Randall L. Jr. and Lola (Appleton) Murphy. Randall was a graduate of Lynn Trade High School, graduating with the Class of 1958. Following high school, Randall proudly enlisted into the United States Navy, honorably serving on board the Aircraft Carrier USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN CVS39.

After returning home from his service, Randall worked as a truck driver for Goldberg’s Furniture Co on Monroe St in Lynn. In his free time he loved to collect antiques and attend flea markets.

Surviving Randall are his brothers; Charles, Glen, Wayne and Dana and his sister Donna, his loving children; Lisa Timmons and husband Mike of Danvers, Douglas Johnson and his wife Melissa of Georgetown, Lynne Lafauci and her husband Kenny of Topsfield and Gregg Johnson and his wife Victoria of Rochester, NH, his cherished grandchildren; Stephanie, Kenny, Brittany, Marissa, Christiana, Nicole, Kaylee and Mike, and his great-grandchildren Thai, Josephine, Sophia, Emma, CJ and Kennedy.

In addition to his parents, Randall is predeceased by his stepparents Doris Johnson and Edward Murphy, his sister Emma (Johnson) Mason and granddaughter Miranda Johnson.

At the request of the family, funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Randall’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
