Robert E. McCaul

Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Bertha (Potterton) McCaul. He graduated from Lynn English High School and then from Northeastern University. He was also a U. S. Navy Veteran, and lived in Revere for the past 25 years.

Robert was Captain of Campus Police at Northeastern University and also served as Manager of Transportation for Northeastern. He retired in 1992 after serving the university for 26 years.

Robert had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed many things including crossword puzzles, reading, movies, traveling, pool, running and cooking.

In addition to his wife, he was the father of Brian McCaul and his partner Maggie Larkin of Hanson, Heidi Huntington and her husband John of Georgia, Wendy Hoyt and her husband William of Lynn, Cynthia McGinn and her husband John of Lynn, Donna Currie and her husband John of Hanson, Terry McCaul and her fiancé Edward Minchello of Revere, and the late Robert McCaul, Jr. He was the brother of Louise Currier of Bedford, and of the late John McCaul, Jr., Donald McCaul, Bertram McCaul, Bertha Lamphier, Barbara Parrish and Patricia Donahue. In addition, he leaves 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Robert expressed his preference for donations to be made in lieu of flowers to any Veterans Organization, or to your local Salvation Army.
