

Ronald B. Hill, age 71 years, of North Walpole, NH died April 4, 2012 at home surrounded by family, after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Carole (Kirkey) Hill with whom he celebrated 52 years of Marriage this past August Born in Swampscott, he was the son of Arthur Hill who died when he was five years old, and his mother Alma (Bernard) Hill Driscoll. He grew up in Lynn, and attended Lynn Schools. He worked at Lynn Screw as a machinist/ quality control inspector and helped to start two other machine shops. He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ,) in Lynn MA. Along with his wife Carole he moved to North Walpole, NH in 1998. He loved his family and was always ready to help if they needed a place to stay or some financial help. He loved doing stamps and crafts, and spent many hours decorating wooden boxes, all shapes and sizes. Together they sold them at craft fairs in NH. He loved playing polka with his family and friends, and playing bad-mitten in their pool. He also loved to garden and they always planted a vegetable garden. He also enjoyed watching NCIS and Law and Order. In addition to his wife three sons, David and his wife Megan of Clearwater, Fl, Stephen, of North Walpole and Timothy and his wife Lynne of Grafton, VT. eight grandchildren , Melissa and her fiancAC. Brett. Christine, Jennifer, Timothy Jr. Matthew, Samantha, Antonio, and Kimberly, four great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, a sister, Barbara and her husband Sonny, of NH, a sister-in-law, Janet Devost of Lynn, brother Michael Ahern of Ohio, several nieces and nephews, a and many close friends. Service Details: Ron's Memorial Service will be held at First Congregational Church, UCC in Walpole, NH on Saturday, April 21st at 3:00 pm, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. He will be cremated at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem, MA and buried at Pine Grove Cemetery with his foster parents Catherine and Michael Ahern on Friday June 8th, at 1:00 PM.
