

He grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School class of 1950. He was a skilled machinist at Gloucester Engineering for over 40 years. Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He was a dedicated member of St Ann’s Parish in Peabody where he made many friends. He was an avid reader, and history was his favorite topic to read and discuss. He loved woodworking and making furniture for his family that will always be treasured. He took pride in his Scottish heritage and enjoyed going to the Highland Games. His most cherished times were spent with his wife of 70 years, Peggy, his children and his grandchildren. He also leaves behind a large extended family who will never forget him.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” (Terenzoni) Lowrie, his daughters, Donna Sclafani and her husband Robert, Kathy Baglieri and her husband Joseph, Nancy Kalogeros and her husband Edward, his son, Douglas Lowrie and his wife Karen. Ron was the cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren; Lance Brown, Tara Dixon, Justin Sclafani, Ryan Sclafani, Anthony Baglieri, Adam Kalogeros, Peter Lowrie, Amanda Lowrie, Mitchell Kalogeros, and Melissa Lowrie and 7 great grandchildren; Caitlyn Dixon, Matthew Brown, Lennon Sclafani, Gabriela Sclafani, Elizabeth Brown, Ethan Brown and Avery Dixon.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 10am at St Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St. Peabody. Burial will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Lynn.
