Sara Perez de Medrano

La Sra. Sara Pérez de Medrano, nacida el 14 de Noviembre del 1935, hija de Ynocencio Vólquez y Candelaria (Gunín) Pérez en Duvergé, República Dominicana, partió con su Señor y Salvador Jesucristo Febrero16, 2026, a la edad de 90 años.

Sara Medrano, la mayor de 12 hermanos, fue el corazón de su familia, una presencia cariñosa que hacía sentir seguros, apreciados y profundamente amados a todos los que la conocían. Expresaba ese amor a través de la cocina: preparando pastelitos y pasteles en hojas, e innumerables comidas que reunían a familiares y amigos en alegre compañerismo. Su cocina era más que un lugar para comer; era un espacio de calidez, oración y consuelo, donde nutría cuerpo y alma y compartía fielmente el amor de Dios.

Poseía un don excepcional para aliviar las cargas más pesadas de la vida con sabiduría arraigada en la fe. Ya fueran tiernas o firmes, sus palabras tranquilizaban, fortalecían y guiaban a quienes amaba. Enseñó a su familia a afrontar los desafíos con valentía, a arrepentirse y a permanecer alineados a la voluntad de Dios, y a valorar la fe y la unión por encima de todo.

Su risa, su espíritu expresivo y su extraordinaria fortaleza llenaban de paz cada habitación. Deja un legado de compasión, resiliencia y amor inquebrantable que seguirá guiando a su familia durante generaciones.

La Sra. Medrano fue precedida en la muerte por quién fue su esposo por 72 años, Elpidio Medrano. Le sobreviven sus seis hijos: Vidal Emilio (Lorraine), Fernando Elpidio (Diane), Luz Virginia, Ylda Cristina, David Ynocencio (Stacey) y Esther Noemí Medrano; 16 nietos, 16 bisnietos y un tataranieto.

Sara Medrano the eldest of 12 was the heart of her family, a nurturing presence who made all who knew her feel safe, seen, and deeply loved. She expressed that love through her cooking—preparing pastelitos and pasteles en hojas and countless meals that gathered family and friends in joyful fellowship. Her kitchen was more than a place to eat; it was a space of warmth, prayer, and comfort, where she nourished both body and soul and faithfully shared God’s love.

She possessed a rare gift for easing life’s greatest burdens with wisdom rooted in faith. Whether gentle or firm, her words reassured, strengthened, and guided those she loved. She taught her family to face challenges with courage, to repent and remain aligned with God’s will, and to cherish faith and togetherness above all.

Her laughter, expressive spirit, and remarkable strength filled every room with peace. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unwavering love that will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

Mrs. Medrano was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Elpidio Medrano. Is survived by her six children: Vidal Emilio (Lorraine), Fernando Elpidio (Diane), Luz Virginia, Ylda Cristina, David Ynocencio (Stacey), and Esther Noemí Medrano; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild
