Susannah was born in Boston, daughter of George A Hall and Alice Newberry Hall of Nahant. Despite her struggles with substantial disabilities stemming from Rett Syndrome, a genetic condition that is still not well understood, Susannah enjoyed music and song, a good laugh, and the loving care of her family and caregivers.
She leaves her mother, Alice Hall of Nahant, her sister, Marion Russell of La Jolla, California and brothers, George Hall Jr. of Topsfield and William Hall of Swampscott, and their families, all of whom are grateful to the staff at Bridgewell and the many others who cared for Susannah with such patience and grace.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, P.O. Box 706143, Cincinnati, OH 45270.
