Thomas Howard Carritte

Thomas “Carrott” H. Carritte, age 72, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away on Monday. July 3, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Murray) Carritte, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn to the late Thomas H. and Mary M. (Regan) Carritte. He was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Following his education, Thomas enlisted in the National Guard and proudly served from 1969 to 1975.

Tom had a love for nature, visiting the outdoors, watching sports, and especially golf. He was a longtime member of the Gannon Golf Course, proudly carrying on the Carritte tradition there. He enjoyed hanging around the Wyoma watering holes and was often referred to as a local legend by their patrons.

In addition to his wife Linda, Tom is survived by his two cherished daughters, Corinne Walters and her husband Ryan, and Carly Noonan and her husband Michael, all of Suffield, CT; his devoted grandchildren, Jackson and Chase Walters and Hailey Noonan; and his siblings Mary Jane Carritte of Swampscott, James Carritte of Lynn, and Michael Carritte and his wife Donna of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend Tom’s visitation on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cuffe-McGinnFuneral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice Team “Lucky Lemures”, www.caredimensions.org, for the exceptional care Tom received from them.
