A lifelong resident of the City, he was the son of the late Roland and Nora E. (Burke) Hubbard. He graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1950, and from the New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming, Boston. He was a licensed funeral director and worked for several area funeral homes.
Wendell was a former Lynn Police and Fire Department Photographer.
He was a life time member of International Freelance Photographers Organization #18890.
He later worked as a starter at the Gannon Golf Course from 1984 to 2015.
He was a Life Member of Knights of Columbus Valladolid Council #70, Lynn, and was a communicant of St. Pius V Church.
He leaves his sister June Hubbard of Lynn, with whom he made his home, and several cousins including Margaret Ann Mahoney and her husband Michael of Nahant.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7th from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 1 PM.
