

Freddy grew up in Lynn, and was the son of the late Ernest and Mary Hatch. He graduated from Lynn English High School, and raised his family in Lynn. He was a retired Lynn Police Officer and a dedicated member of the Bass Fisherman's Club everywhere. For many years he volunteered as a mentor to anyone who wanted to share his love of fishing.
Freddy loved fishing the most, he adored his wife Carol, going out to breakfast with the guys, and finding a bargain – Freddy loved bargains! He cherished his time spent with family, friends, and respected colleagues. He also held dear to him his friend Jeff and his former son-in-law Paul Atwood.
In addition to his wife, Freddy is survived by his devoted children, Ronald and Tricia Patterson of Dracut, Matthew Patterson and his fiancé Lauren Maggs of Lynn, and Melissa Atwood of Lynn. He was the cherished grandfather of Anthony and Kerri Atwood, RJ, BeckyLyn, Zackery, Jacoby, Brodie, and KristaBelle Patterson, and great-granddaughter Emerson Alice Patterson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The loving brother of the late Ronald, David Hatch (his wife Linda survives him), the late Bernice Anderson, and the late Diane Perham.
