

Mr. William E. “Billy” McKechnie, age 48, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died Monday, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Shauna (Roach) McKechnie, with whom he shared 24 years of marriage.
Born in Augusta, Maine, William was the son of the late Everett and Pauline (Blair) McKechnie. He grew up in Lynn and moved to Peabody in the 1990’s.
William was the owner of BM Painting and the cleaning business, Billy Hauls It All. He was an avid fisherman, loved telling jokes but, above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Billy was an antique collector and enjoyed attending flea markets. He was a friend of Bill Wilson
In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by his children; John and Melynda McKechnie both of Peabody. He was the loving Grandfather of Jayson Dow. Billy was the brother of Everett “Mack” McKechnie of Lynn and the late Wayne McKechnie, Doris McKechnie, and Bidwood Messa. He is also survived by a nephew Woody McKechnie and other nieces and nephews.
Billy’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius V Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8PM.
