Adelbert Bert Latoza Benetua

Surrounded by his family, Bert Benetua joined his father in heaven Friday January 28, 2011

Bert was born September 27, 1938 in Silay City Philippines to Eliseo Benetua deceased and Fidela Benetua, who is 99 years old and resides in the Philippines.

Bert was employed by Ingersoll Rand for 35 years. He was the Product Manager for Asia Pacific division. Bert traveled for IR to all parts of the world making friends everywhere he went. In 1980 IR moved Bert and his family to Mayfield Kentucky. Moving to the “country” was a huge adjustment for them but they had the support of many friends.

After retirement, Bert and his wife of 49 years Lilia moved to Washington State to be near their children and grandchildren. Bert was very active in the choir and Knights of Columbus at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish.

Bert is remembered by his wife Lilia, son Adel and wife Carma along with daughter Socorro and husband Wayne.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Cambree, Kaylee and Kellen Benetua & Michael and Megan Stoppler.

He also leaves many family members in the Philippines.

A funeral mass will be held for Bert on Friday February 4th at 11:15 a.m. Viewing will begin at 10:15a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2316 180th St SE Bothell, WA 98012. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
