August 1, 1926 - February 16, 2021
Milton Johnson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away February 16th at the age of 94, surrounded by the love of his family.
Milton was born on August 1, 1926 at his parents home in Clinton, Washington. He attended Langley High School and after graduation went on to join the Merchant Marines where he served our country in WWII. When he returned to his home town he obtained a job with the Washington State Ferries. He worked the Clinton to Mukilteo run where he met his beloved wife of 71 years Jennie Louise Corrie. The couple enjoyed many adventures from owning and running their own restaurant in downtown Seattle out of the Nordstrom building to traveling across country selling Stanley Cook ware.
The couple settled down in Richmond Beach, Washington where they purchased their first home, later to move to their Shoreline home where they spent the remainder of their lives together over 50 years. Milton spent many years as a salesman for Florals Hills and Cypress Lawn Cemeteries. He later obtained his real estate license working for McPherson's real estate until he retired.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Albert Johnson, his sisters, Mildred Guffey and Myrtle Thorsen.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Louise Johnson, sons, Milton and Mitchell Johnson, daughters, Melinda and Melissa Johnson, daughter in law, Tracy Johnson, grandsons, Cory and Chris Johnson, granddaughter, Jessica Johnson-Shell and great granddaughter Aliana.
Milton enjoyed quiet times around the fire pit at the family property on the Washington Coast. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, camping with family and tinkering on his 1966 Chevy Carryall truck. He was a loving husband and father to his wife and children, always dedicated to providing for and helping his loved ones.
We will carry his beautiful smile with us always and forever keep his love wrapped in our hearts.
