

Brian Edward Derksema, age 44, of Bremerton Washington passed away sudden and unexpected on Monday August 16th 2021. Brian was born to John and Susanne Derksema on January 17th 1977.
He graduated High School at Marysville Pilchuck. He worked construction most of his life, and in 2011 he started working at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and graduated from the apprenticeship program with an Associate degree from Olympic College in Bremerton. He married Kelly Eastman in 2009 and they had 2 amazing awesome children: Jack now age 9 and Macy now age 6. They divorced but always remained as a strong team united in love for their children. In 2017 Brian met Tammy Flanagan (Miskowski) and just last month had proposed.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and football (Go Hawks!). He liked to party and loved loud music. He secretly loved baths with his favorite bath bomb.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Susanne Derksema, and brother Bill Derksema. He is survived by his children Jack and Macy Derksema, his father John (Mariia) Derksema and brother Jon (Julie) Derksema, fiancé Tammy Flanagan (Miskowski) and daughters Madison Flanagan and Alanna (Chris) Standaert, grandson Ryden Plouff.
His memorial service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood WA 98036 on September 2nd at 1 pm. Open Casket viewing is available beginning at 9 am. Local to his home in Kitsap County, a party celebrating his life will be held at McCloud’s 4111 Wheaton Way, Bremerton, WA 98310 on September 4th at 1 pm.
