Douglas Glen Houk passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020. Born November 13, 1934 to Ray and Clela (Nelson) Houk, the second of five children. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn, two children, Sharon (Andrew) and David (Michelle) and three grandchildren, and two sisters. Doug grew up in Seattle, attending Lincoln High School, Seattle Pacific College and University of Washington. Doug taught at Nathan Hale and Ingraham high schools and was beloved by his students. Doug was a faithful husband, loving father, caring friend, committed Christian and dedicated teacher. He loved working in the yard, playing with his grandkids and reading Scripture. He is greatly missed. Memorial gifts can be made in his name to Urban Impact, High Point Scholarship Fund, UW Memory & Brain Wellness Center Fund or Salvation Army.
