Born on July 16, 1917 in Seattle, Washington passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in Edmonds, WA. Mr. Combs attended Ballard High School, served in the Navy during World War II, and operated his own business, Van Tone Millwork in Edmonds for over 40 years. He is survived by his long-time companion Maggie Adam, his daughter and son in law, Karen and Tom Barrett, grandsons Rob Meiser and Danny Falt and granddaughters Tamara, Wendy and Terry Anne as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by family and friends. Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 409 filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036 from 1 PM - 5 PM. Funeral Services will be held a the same location on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at 11:00 AM. A 1:00 PM burial to be held at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery located at 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98133.
