Jo Ann attended East Valley High School and went on to dedicate 30 years of service as a budget technician with the National Parks Department. She was an active and devoted member of Faith Community Church, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life.
On June 6, 1963, Jo Ann married Kenneth E. Phillipps in Seattle, Washington. They shared 62 years of marriage together and raised three sons: John Phillipps, Jeff Phillipps, and Joel Phillipps.
Jo Ann is survived by her sons; seven grandchildren: Morrell Chon, Jessica Chon, Bradley Phillipps, Ashley Phillipps, Kaitlyn Phillipps, Katrina Thomsen, and Brendan Phillipps; three great-grandchildren: Grayson Lord, Elliott Velasco, and Jayce Thomsen; and her daughters-in-law: Myong Kim, Vanessa Wise, and Akiko Phillipps.
Jo Ann lived life to the fullest and was never afraid of what life brought her way. She was surrounded by friends and family who loved her dearly, and she will be deeply missed.
Services will be held on January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Community Church, 10220 238th St SW, Edmonds, Washington.
