He is survived by three children: Tammi (Rodney) of Bland, MO, John Jr. (Laurie) of Granite Falls, WA, and Jamie (Mandee) of Lancaster, CA; grandchildren Nicholas, Kaylie (Jeremiah), Cody, Stefanie, Nathan, Timothy, Joyanna, Alyssa, Autumn, Britnee, Aiden, Callie; great-granddaughter Taleah; brothers Edwin, Larry, and David; former wife Gretchen (Droullard); and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elizabeth and Gloria, brothers Alan and Randy, and wife Mary (Epstein).
John served his country in the Army Reserves. He retired in 2005 after more than 30 years of service as a firefighter for Snohomish County District 11 and District 1.
He was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed collecting Dale Earnhardt and firefighter memorabilia.
A private graveside service was held July 25, 2022. Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
