It made us feel like you were our second Ma Ma.   Thank you for
the delicious Christmas cookies that you baked for everyone.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ladonna many years ago when my sister-in-law was married to her son Bill. I got to know her even better when she moved into the facility where I was doing activities on the weekend. I loved seeing her smile. She had such a love for her family and grandchildren and pets. She always talked about them. On pet therapy days she always gave my dog Twila lots of love and pets as in the picture above . She loved her coffee and I had to make sure she had some every snack time. She would make me laugh when I had church service and somebody would be too noisy and she tell him to be quiet. She will be missed I know her family will have special memories to always talk about thank you for sharing her with us. Karen Forrest and David Dewey

LaDonna was my mother-in-law and we would share recipes a lot so I decided to make her two aprons. When I brought them to her, she got so excited about them, she kept trying them on. She couldn’t decide which one to wear and it was so funny, she made both of us laugh.  We had fun cooking and making cookies together.  

She was such a nice person and so sweet, she is going to be missed by all of us.

Grandma Gerard was such a special woman. She treated Amanda and I just like we were her own even though we were not related. She and Grandpa were at all our special events. Birthdays, graduations, weddings and other things as well. She would always open her arms wide and give a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. We were so blessed to know her and be a part of her family. Rest in peace Grandma. We miss you and love you.

I remember Aunt Ladonna, She was a loving wonderful Aunt who loved without measure. I always remember giving us children, The best hugs and telling us that we were important. I also remember her getting together with my Grandma and her twin sister, My Aunt Estelle. Making cookies for thanksgiving dinner sharing good conversation. Teaching  all of us kids to respect our elders because our elders are important. She will forever be beautiful to me as a loving Aunt.

I remember my aunt Ladonna when my grandparents were still with us and all the sisters would come together to visit with grandma. I remember just thinking about how beautiful these ladies were and still are!!! I have some wonderful memories of all of them enjoying each other and being together with my grandma their mom . I felt so proud to have been born into this family. I will miss my Aunt Ladonna and I will always cherish her in my heart. She truly was a wonderful person . To my beautiful Grandma. 
 I will forever hold you close to my heart. There will not be a day that I don’t think about you. I am so thankful for our close relationship. You were like a mother to me. You were always there no matter what it was. You have always been such a selfless Person when it came to your family.  I will Forever miss your beautiful smile and how it would light up when I would walk in the room. You would say, “there’s my girl”.  That would make my whole day.  :) You lived for your family, specially your grand babies.  I am forever grateful for you and I will miss you so much. We had so many fun memories.  I will cherish. The Fun summers we spent at Lake Goodwin, lots of family get together‘s in LaConner at shelter bay, fun camping trips like at Birch bay, many fun boating excursions, cooking, canning, gardening, our long drives through the Skagit valley farm lands and how family is everything. I am so grateful for all of the time I have been given with you. I have so many wonderful memories I will hold dear in my heart. I will forever miss you. God has received an amazing angel. Our beautiful Aunt and Great Aunt was always a warm and comforting fixture in our lives. She was always showing her love and support at Weddings, Birthdays, Graduations, Ballet recitals, and holiday celebrations. She was such a good example of love and grace to all those around her. She always showed a great love for all of her family. Always so proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren she would share updated pictures and stories of them. We have so many memories with her from swimming at the lake to picking grapefruit at her Arizona home, to so many wonderful lunches. We are so grateful for all her love, hugs, and generosity through the years. We loved her so very much! She loved angels and now she is one! All our love, Kevin,Jeanette,and Katie

My wonderful and caring Mother had a very fulfilling life.
She was married to the love of her life, my dad Lonnie, for sixty-four years till he passed in 2012. 
She was blessed with two sons, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.
My Mom and Dad loved cruising in the San Juan Islands in their Bayliner Explorer and went up the inside passage to Alaska.
They owned two different motor homes, visited every state in the continental United States two times as well as Alaska one time.  
They went to Hawaii and visited every island in the chain.   
Life does not get a whole lot better than that!

I thank God for my Aunt Ladonna and the blessing she was to me and my family.  I still remember going over to her house as a child each Christmas and she and Lonnie would have gifts for me and my five siblings.  It was a tradition to look for when Aunt Ladonna would show up at our home with her box of homemade Christmas cookies.  She did that for as long as I could remember.  I recall fun summer days at her lake house and getting the opportunity to try to water ski.  As an adult I so much appreciate the wonderful big sister she was to my mom Esther.  She consistently kept in touch and visited mom often.  Aunt Ladonna lived a wonderful life full of great adventures.  I think it can be said of her, "She lived life well!"
