Marie Assunta Boitano Larson, age 88, passed away from cancer on Monday, March 23, 2018 peacefully with her family by her side, at home in Edmonds, Washington. She was born in Everett to August and Edith Boitano and grew up in Snohomish. Marie graduated from Snohomish High in 1947 (Kla-Ta-Wa) and always loved attending their yearly reunions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Larson, parents and sister, Anita Watson and leaves behind her three daughters, Joanne Larson of Gig Harbor; Patty Murphy of Marysville; and Cindy Snover of Ellensburg along with four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two grand cats. Marie will be remembered as a vibrant, energetic, bright and shining light in the communities she served: Women in Construction, AA, TOPS, church, and volunteering at Edmonds Senior Center. Marie's passion was doing accounting the "old-fashioned" way as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper. She was a Pacific Northwest girl.
Marie was very proud of being a Full-Charge Bookkeeper and had worked for Ballard Brass Foundry, Glasply Northwest, Inc., Spragues, Incorporated, Western Landscaping and Lynnwood Truck Equipment.
Marie's service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 409 Filbert Rd, in Lynnwood on Monday, April 2, 2018. Family will greet friends during the viewing beginning at 11:00 AM until service begins at 1:00 PM. She will be buried at Floral Hills Cemetery.
