Marvin C Smith

He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Smith; his mother, Ruth Naomi Marr-Smith; stepmother, Landra Smith; sister, Billie Larson; and grandson, Marvin Shelby Smith.

He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Sue Smith; children, Bronco Smith, Jennifer Smith, and David Murray; grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Casey Johnson, Hannah Seeger, Nicole Burghart and Kayla Johnson; great-grandchildren, Marley and Aubrey; and sister, Muriel Hardebeck; and numerous other family and friends.

He followed in the footsteps of his father who had 50 years in Local 302 International Union of Operating Engineers; Marv had 52 years in Local 302 IUOE. He loved hunting, his Harley motorcycle and just any old car.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County. Many thanks from the family to the hospice nurses and aids that were here these last few weeks.

Memorial Services will be begin at 2 p.m., on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills; and a motorcycle procession immediately following to a celebration of Marv's life at the Viking Hall in Silvana at 4:00 p.m.
