

On Thursday, July 15, 2010 Morris Rice died peacefully at home in Everett, WA at the age of 82. He was surrounded by family. He is now completely healed from Parkinson's disease and with Jesus his Savior in Heaven.
Morris was born in Westhope, ND on June 12, 1928 and lived in Mohall, ND. It was there that he placed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized and confirmed. He moved to Anacortes, WA in 1946 where he began his life's work and means of providing for his family as a carpenter and income property owner.
Morris married Lois Johnson of Amor, MN on June 12, 1955. This past June, they celebrated 55 years of love, faithfulness and serving the Lord together. They established many enduring friendships in the communities where they lived; Anacortes, Federal Way, Port Angeles, Whidbey Island and Everett, WA.
Morris and Lois have two sons, James (Donna) Rice of Everett, WA and Jonathan (Diane) Rice of Camano Island, WA. Morris took great delight in and was especially proud of his four grandchildren; Rachel, Amanda, Rebecca and Aaron.
Morris was preceded in death by his father and mother, Palmer and Emma Rice; sister, Ellen Rice; grand nephew, Alexander Gaston; and brothers-in-law, Norman Nelson and David Ohman.
Morris is survived by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister Janice (Van) Kadiesky; niece, Anne (Diego) Gaston and their children, Christian and Sophia of Eden Prairie, MN; and sisters-in-law, Clarice Ohman of Minnetonka, MN and LaVerne Nelson of Battle Lake, MN.Arrangements under the direction of Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood, WA.
