Shari was born on October 5, 1951 in Spokane, Washington. Her family would later move to the Seattle area. She graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in June of 1969. On December 6, 1969, Shari married Rick Walker. They were married for 37 years and raised three children. Shari was recently retired after 30 years of working dispatch for Shannon and Rural Metro Ambulance. She loved anything that had to do with EMS. In 1979 she became a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Gold Bar District 26. In 1991 she became the Fire Commissioner for District 26. Shari even completed police academy training in 1987. She spent her life helping others. Everyone who knew her loved her.
Shari loved spending time with her family. It was her greatest joy. Ask anyone and they will tell you that Shari was the most loving, giving, and kindest person you would ever meet. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. When we think of Shari we will see that beautiful smile and hear her laughter that was contagious.

She is survived by her daughters, Ericka (Jody) Juarez and Trista (Brian) Box; son, Zachariah (Christa) Walker; grandchildren, Justine Juarez, Tyson (Allix) Juarez, and Zoe Box; and brother, Terry (Theresa) Miller and sister, Janean Wjvold.
