

CULLODEN – Allison Jackson “Jack” Martin, 86, joined his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of his earthly ministry will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Russellville Baptist Church, Forsyth, GA with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to Boundaries Unlimited, Inc., P. O. Box 592, Somerset, KY 42501.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife of forty six years, Betty Jane Graham Martin and was the son of the late William Asa Martin and Sarah Brooks Martin. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clifton Martin, Hubert Martin, James Martin and Paul Martin. Born in Macon and a lifelong resident of this area, he was an Electronic Technician retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Martin was a born again Christian serving his Lord at Russellville Baptist Church. He had been a part of sixty-four Evangelistic and Children’s Mission Trips since 1995 serving in nineteen different countries. Mr. Martin was a gifted pen and ink artist and a talented harmonica player using these talents as he witnessed.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be missed by those he loved most….his beloved family…his daughters Jackie Christian of Macon, Beth Benge of Forsyth and Susan Martin (Harvey) Witt of Griffin; his grandchildren, Kelly (Shane) Smith, Heather (Michael) Smith, Allyson (Reggie) Hester, Clint Benge and Julie (Alan) Rogers; his great grandchildren, Kody Bush, Kaleigh Bush, Dusty Bush, Lola Hart Smith and Grace Benge and nieces and nephews.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
