Angus Albert Moncrief

Angus Albert Moncrief, age 94, of Lizella, Georgia Crawford County departed this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025, to go his heavenly home to be with Jesus. He was born March 12, 1931, in Crawford County the son of the late Issac and Georgia Moncrief of Yatesville, Georgia.

Angus, was preceded in death by his late wife, Ommie Evelyn Moncrief for 65 years, and his granddaughter, Lauria Moncrief.

Angus is survived by his five children, Mark A. Moncrief and his partner Jose’ of Riviera Beach, Florida, Samuel E. Moncrief and his wife, Elaine of Bonaire, Georgia, Timothy D. Moncrief of Lizella, Georgia, Miriam Charlene Pollard of Musella, Georgia, Sara Melinda Stalvey and her husband, Rodney of Warner Robins, Georgia, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.

Mr. Moncrief was a lifelong carpenter and was employed by R. H. Smalling and Sons of Macon for 48 years. Our father was a very loving caring father and loved all people. He enjoyed family get togethers to celebrate his birthdays, peanut boils and fish fries. He was a sportsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and listening to Christian Gospel Music.

Services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by his grandson, Rev. Aaron W. Moncrief at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Moncrief will be interred in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, beside his wife, and his granddaughter, Laurie.
