Betty Louise Fordham, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 26, 2018. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Rex Odom officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday, July 30, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fordham was born in Hogansville, Georgia to the late Tom and Bernice Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carlton Fordham; sons, James Carlton and John Terry Fordham as well as eight siblings. “Lou” was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Chastain of Macon; grandchildren, Marc Gabriel (Leeanne), Brian Fordham, Brandi Gabriel (Kristy), Teresa Lamey (Eric), Nicky Sapp (Mike), Jessica Jeffords (David), Ashley Moore (Grant), Jay Fordham (Beth), Kim Churchwell (Keith) and Eddie Reid; twenty-one great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister, Helen Cannon of Eastman; daughter-in-law, Sandra Fordham; numerous nieces and nephews.
