Betty JoAnn Johnson, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 13, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Cheryl Swint and Rev. Kevin Clotfelter officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lizella Methodist Church, 2920 S. Lizella Road, Lizella GA 31052.
Betty was born in Hartford, AL to the late John Robert and Mary Marie Whitman Johnson. She was a member of Lizella Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Betty enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and fishing. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, John Marlette Johnson of Lizella, sons, Stan Johnson (Lisa Carr), Stewart (Terri) Johnson, daughter, Sandra Long all of Lizella, grandchildren, John Robert Davis (Jennifer) Johnson, Sylvia Heaton, Katelyn Johnson (Dominic Favolora, Jr), Sara Long, and great grandchildren, Cayden Johnson, Riley Heaton, Aleta JoAnn Johnson, Henry Lassiter, and August David Favalora.
